At Coterie, we find joy in the little things on a daily basis. By nature of our jobs, we’re lucky to be surrounded with reasons to celebrate more often than not — one of the many perks of being in the business of getting together, better.
The children of the New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital operate with the same sentiment. Although their circumstances and surroundings may not warrant celebration in the traditional sense, we found that they are in fact excellent partiers.
On March 26th, our team spent the day partying like it’s our birthday with the superhero kids undergoing treatment at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. We brought the goods: Sand art, foam picture frames (decorated with glitter stickers!), and elements of our Make It Rainbow Set to create an experience that the kids and their families would remember. Our non-profit partner, The Confetti Foundation sponsored some super cool artists who caricatured and face painted their hearts out, along with a DJ and a photo booth so we could hang on to these moments far beyond this special day.

The mission of the Confetti Foundation is to provide a themed birthday party, positive moments, and normalcy during a difficult time. Although the party is not a cure, the hope is that it will provide a welcome distraction and a good reminder that every child deserves to be celebrated.
As we danced to some party classics, if only for a small moment, the kids were able to be just kids at a party. We are so honored that they shared their day with us, and as we left the overall feeling was that our lives had been touched with a certain sparkle. As a team of party goers and throwers, this may have been the best one we’ve been to :)
