Products & Sets
Does Coterie design its own product?
Yes! You’ll find that almost everything is made by Coterie. We work with a talented team of artists and designers to create fresh, forward party goods that are exclusive to us!
Can I purchase individual items from your Sets?
All of our Set items are available to purchase on their own, with the exception of a handful of holiday items, collaborations, and limited edition collections. To shop for individual party goods, visit our Shop All page.
What are your products made of?
The majority of our products - including our plates, cups, napkins and straws - are made of paper, with the exception of our one plastic item, cutlery. Want even more details? On the individual product pages under Shop All there is a Details drop down that further describes the product make up.
Where do you make your products?
Great question! It was really important to us to team up with manufacturing partners who hold themselves to the same high ethical standards that we do. After visiting dozens of factories stateside and overseas, we ultimately decided on a partners that prioritized quality, compliance to worker’s safety, fair wages and benefits, and dedication to minimizing environmental impacts. Added bonus: our main production facility in China is owned and operated by women, just like Coterie!
Ordering
How can I check the status of my order?
You can view order status on your Account page, which can be found at the top right corner of our website. You may need to first login under the Sign In page. The Account page will be updated when your order ships.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Our team works hard to ship your order out quickly so we are unable to cancel or make changes to orders once they have shipped. However, if you need to add or return anything submit a response to this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover debit and credit cards. We also accept Amazon Pay and Paypal Express Checkout.
How do I add a discount or promotion code?
Lucky you! Add any codes to your order at checkout with our handy "Gift card or discount code" box. Once applied, your total will reflect the new amount. Our website allows one discount code per order. If you have multiple discounts, save one for your next order or send it to a friend!
Discount codes are only applicable to "discountable" items. Exclusions may apply.
Why isn't my discount code working?
Oh no! Trouble with discount codes is commonly caused by expiration dates or what’s in your shopping cart. Double check if the code you received has any restrictions, like a price hurdle or expiration date. Discount codes are also only applicable to "discountable" items. Exclusions may apply.
Shipping
Please allow for an extra day for shipping due to potential COVID-related delays from our carrier partners.
Where does Coterie ship?
Coterie currently ships within the U.S., to all 50 states and the District of Columbia. You may experience longer delivery times when shipping to Hawaii and Alaska.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping (1-5 business days, add a few days on for Alaska and Hawaii) is FREE on orders over $45. For orders under $45, we charge a flat rate of $12 for standard shipping.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
At this time we are unable to offer expedited shipping. We have found carriers to be less than reliable and therefore cannot guarantee a delivery time.
When can I expect to receive my order?
If your order is received by 1pm ET, we do our best to ship it out same day. All other orders will ship out the next business day.
Shipping usually takes between 1-5 business days. Once you’ve entered your address at Checkout, you’ll get the best shipping estimate based on your location. This way you won’t have to pay for expedited shipping unless you're in a pinch (we’ve been there!). However, please note that we have been seeing COVID-related delays with our carriers recently, so we suggest building in an extra day for potential delays.
You are likely to experience longer delivery times when shipping to Hawaii and Alaska.
Things may come up that are out of our control (like bad weather or shipping delays), but we’ll always work to get you your party goods as fast as we can!
Does Coterie ship to PO boxes?
We currently offer shipping to PO boxes, but it does sometimes take a little longer. So if you're in a hurry, we suggest shipping to your home or office.
Does Coterie ship to APO/FPO/DPO Addresses?
At this time, we do not deliver to APO/FPO/DPO Addresses.
Returns
What is your return policy?
All our party goods are backed by our Coterie promise! If the products you selected didn't work out, you are free to return your items for a refund to the original form of payment. All returns should be received within 30 days of the original purchase date and be in their original packaging. We sadly cannot accept returns on opened items or items that have been damaged after opening.

How do I initiate a return?

How and when will I be refunded?
It takes our team about two weeks to receive your return and process the refund. Once complete, we’ll initiate the refund and it will post back to the original payment method.
I purchased a Set but I didn't end up using one of the items. Can I return this item only?
Since all of our Sets are fully customizable, you are free to return any items purchased as part of a Set. However, all individual items must be unopened and in their original packaging.
